In 2008, Bruno Verhenne took over the management of the PICCS organisation from Tom Vanthuyne, founder of the PICCS company. For over a year, Tom and Bruno trained many ISF classes in the secrets of a professional calibration, resulting in extraordinary pictures. While Tom focused more on Home Theater Product distribution, Bruno continued the training and consultancy activities.
Bruno Verhenne has a serious experience in video technology of over 14 years. Graduated as a master in engineering in 1989, he started doing the development of video processing electronics for the famous high end BARCO Projectors. He extended his expertise by accepting the function of R&D manager of the BARCO Home Cinema division which brought him to the international level. He had to set up and organize cooperations with companies all over the world.
His key accomplishment was the birth of the Cine Range (the BARCO CRT CINE6, CINE7, CINE8, and CINE9) and later on the DLP range of CineVERSUM products (CineVERSUM 60, 70 and 80), including the very first 3-chip DLP products specifically developed for Home Cinema use (CineVERSUM 110 and 120). Bruno introduced many product ideas, still copied by many other brands today (the predecessor of the HDMI link, using twin lamps in projectors,…).
In his career he encountered all possible technologies. Ranging from CRT, over LCD up to single and three chip DLP, technical challenges crossed his path to push the product to the maximum performance. Bruno was one of the pioneers to implement the famous DLP P7 technology (also called ColorMax technology) in consumer products.
As Bruno understood the need to educate the channel, he organized internal training sessions. He was the source of a part of the original ISF presentation from Joel Silver.

BARCO wanted to reuse his experience and asked Bruno to join the LED team to lead the development of the latest BARCO indoor LEDwall platform, the NX-platform. He also got involved in the organisation of international inter-company projects funded by the respective governments.
After being at the source side of the technical products for many years, Bruno decided he wanted to take another position in the product chain. He switched to the distribution company T+W Marketing (now Genesis Technologies) in 2007 to assist Tom in the training and education activities.
